Daiwa House Modular Europe and Tatami join forces for sustainable designer homes
16 Jun 2022
Modular builder Daiwa House Modular Europe and Dutch designer home brand Tatami signed a partnership agreement for a designer home project in Alphen aan den Rijn at the annual PROVADA.
The homes, which are expected to be completed in mid-2023/24, are being constructed at the Ridderhof shopping centre and are the first circular and sustainable designer homes in the Netherlands. The housing modules are made of sustainable materials in the Daiwa House Modular Europe factory in Montfoort using an efficient and circular construction process. This aligns perfectly with the sustainable vision of both partners.
Harry van Zandwijk, CEO of Daiwa House Modular Europe, is looking forward to this new project: “The construction of these designer homes in collaboration with Tatami shows we are ready for the next step in the world of modular construction. The rapid construction of high-quality housing solutions is important, given the current housing crisis. In addition, sustainability is a top priority for us and this is an important point of departure in the construction process. A new partnership of which we are very proud at Daiwa House Modular Europe.”
