Modular homes at Kogerweelde sold even before construction

Residents of the village of Koog aan de Zaan are welcoming a host of new neighbours. Thirteen new, sustainable and circular homes, spread over three floors in their neighbourhood, have been installed by Daiwa House Modular Europe.

A precise operation
The complete floors of the homes were transported from the housing factory to the site and assembled on location. It was a precise operation. Following the placement of the modules for the project, named Kogerweelde, the homes were carefully finished from the ground up to the façades over the following days.

Modular homes sold before construction began
The modular homes are spacious, ranging from 135m² to 150m². All thirteen available homes had already been sold before construction commenced, making them a valuable addition to the Koog aan de Zaan neighbourhood.

Harry van Zandwijk, CEO of Daiwa House Modular Europe, said: “We are immensely proud of this new project in Koog aan de Zaan. It represents another step towards tackling the housing shortage in the Netherlands. The fact that these homes were sold even before construction is a huge compliment to their quality, sustainability and aesthetics.”
